Trading Terms & Conditions

Priority Blinds — Trading Terms

  1. General & Application

    1. These Terms and Conditions apply to all quotes provided and all contracts formed between Priority Blinds and the Customer for the supply and/or installation of blinds, curtains, awnings, and related goods.
    2. By accepting a quote (verbally, in writing, or by paying a deposit), the Customer agrees to be bound by these terms.
    3. For properties managed by Real Estate Agents or Property Managers, the individual or agency approving the quote warrants that they have the express authority of the property owner to authorise the work and incur the associated costs.
  2. Quotes & Site Measurements

    1. Quotes are strictly valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.
    2. All initial quotes provided off-plan or based on customer-supplied measurements are estimates only.
    3. Final pricing is strictly subject to a final site measure and scope confirmation by a Priority Blinds representative. If site conditions dictate structural changes, scaffolding, or altered dimensions, the quote will be revised accordingly.
    4. Priority Blinds accepts no liability for goods manufactured to incorrect dimensions if the measurements were exclusively supplied by the Customer and a site check was declined or unavailable.
  3. Orders, Manufacturing & Variations

    1. Manufacturing and/or installation lead times are estimates only and commence exclusively once the quote is approved, final measurements are completed, and the required deposit is received in cleared funds.
    2. Custom-made window furnishings cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has commenced. If the Customer cancels after this point, the full quoted price remains payable.
    3. Any variations or additions requested after manufacturing has commenced must be agreed upon in writing and will incur additional charges.
  4. Payment Terms & Retention of Title (Ownership)

    1. A non-refundable deposit (as specified on the quote, typically 50%) is required before any custom manufacturing begins or materials are ordered.
    2. The final balance is due strictly on the day of installation completion (or upon delivery if supply-only), unless prior alternative written arrangements have been made.
    3. Retention of Title: Legal and equitable ownership of all goods supplied by Priority Blinds remains with Priority Blinds and does not pass to the Customer until all invoices and associated charges are paid in full.
    4. Until payment is received in full, Priority Blinds reserves the right to enter the premises (or the premises managed by the agent) to recover the unpaid goods without liability for trespass or incidental damage.
  5. Site Access, Installation & Preparation

    1. The Customer (or their managing agent) must ensure that the site is safe, clear, and accessible for the installation team at the agreed time.
    2. Furniture, existing window coverings, and fragile items must be moved away from the installation area prior to arrival. Priority Blinds reserves the right to charge an additional fee if installers are delayed by a site that is not prepared.
    3. While all due care is taken, Priority Blinds is not liable for minor incidental damage to paintwork, plaster, or structural substrates that occurs during the normal course of drilling and installation.
  6. Warranties & Potential Failures

    1. Priority Blinds warrants that all goods will be supplied free from major manufacturing defects and will be installed with due care and skill, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
    2. Manufacturer warranties apply to fabrics, tracking, and motorisation components. These warranties vary by product and will be provided upon request.
    3. Exclusions: Warranties do not cover general wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, environmental factors (e.g., severe weather damage to external awnings, mould, or fading from sun exposure), or tampering by unauthorised third parties.
    4. External awnings and blinds must be retracted during high winds or storms. Damage caused by failure to do so is at the Customer's risk.
  7. Delays & Force Majeure

    1. Priority Blinds will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or delayed installation caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to global supply chain delays, fabric stock shortages, transport strikes, or extreme weather events.
